Mojito | Cocktail
- A few spoons of crushed ice
- 6 cl rum
- 1 lime
- 2-3 bar spoons brown
- Cane sugar
- 5 mint leaves
- 4 cl soda water
This is how the Mojito cocktail is prepared:
The first step is to cut the limes into quarters with a knife. The two ends of the lime should be removed beforehand, as they contain bitter substances that can affect the taste of the cocktail. Since the limes are used unpeeled, be sure to buy quality limes (which are unsprayed and untreated). The lime quarters are placed in a glass with the mint leaves and the sugar (white cane sugar is best, but this is often not so easy to get in Germany, so it also does brown cane sugar) and crushed and left for about 2 minutes (so that the aroma can fully develop). The glass is filled with ice and the rum is added. Finally, the glass is filled with soda water. The cocktail is served with a thick straw. Mint leaves are suitable for decoration.
