Daiquiri | Cocktail

  • Shaker, a few ice cubes,
  • 5 cl white rum
  • 2 cl lime juice
  • 2 cl sugar syrup

This is how the Daiquiri cocktail is prepared:

To prepare, simply put the ingredients in a shaker with some ice and strain into a glass. If necessary, you have to play a little with the proportions of the ingredients. Some prefer the Daiquiri a little sour, others prefer a little more sugar syrup... Note: Hemingway also used grapefruit juice, try that too! The cocktail is served with a thick straw!', 'This drink became famous through personalities like Hemingway or Kennedy, who were self-confessed "Daiquiri fans". It was probably developed by a Cuban named Cox, who lived near the Cuban city of Daiquiri. In the age where bars and pubs always offer their customers something new and better tasting to drink, combinations like "frozen fruit daiquiries" have also caught on. One of the most popular fruit daiquiries, for example, is the Strawberry variant (with strawberry flavor). In the fruity variants, fruit juices and/or fruit syrup are added to the daiquiri. If you prepare the Daiquiri in a blender with lots of ice, you get a frozen Daiquiri (which you can of course also add fruit juice or syrup to).
