Caipiroska | Cocktail
- a few spoons of crushed ice
- 6 cl vodka
- 1 lime
- 2-3 bar spoons brown
- Cane sugar
This is how the Caipiroska cocktail is prepared:
The first step is to cut the limes into quarters with a knife. The two ends of the lime should be removed beforehand, as they contain bitter substances that can affect the taste of the cocktail. Since the limes are used unpeeled, you should look for qualitative limes (which are unsprayed and untreated) when buying them. The lime quarters are given with the sugar (preferably white cane sugar, but this is often not so easy to get in Germany, so it also does brown cane sugar) in a glass and crushed and left for about 2 minutes (so that the flavor can fully develop), optimally the sugar should dissolve completely. After the glass has been filled with ice (to just below the rim), the vodka is added. The Caipiroska is served with a thick straw.', 'The recipe of the Caipiroska cocktail is based on that of the Caipirinha. However, instead of cahaça, vodka is used here. Sometimes the Caipiroska is also called Caipirovka.
